Ongc Bassein Development Project, MUMBAI OFFSHORE, INDIA
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: –
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), hereinafter called as ‘ONGC and/or COMPANY’ is engaged in exploration & exploitation of Bassein field. Bassein field is a large gas field in Western Offshore Basin. The field is situated in the western continental shelf of Arabian Sea. Bassein field is primarily a gas-cap gas field and is located approximately 80 km. West North-West of Mumbai. It is approximately 235 square Km in areal extent. The water depth varies from 50 to 70 meter in the area. The field is well developed, with an extensive infrastructure of wellhead platforms, process platforms and pipelines. The present tender is for development of Bassein field located in the western continental shelf of Arabian Sea. The field was put on gas production in Sep.1988 and has been developed in phases. Company plans to install 1 number of 9 slot unmanned well platforms (BH), 1 number of Process platform (BCPA-3), 1 number of Living quarter platform (BLQ-3), laying off associated pipeline, modification on BPA Complex Platforms (BPNBCPN BCPA-2) and miscellaneous works.
